The element is duplicated over an entire sheet in a layout and size simulating what the finished watermark paper will look like, and then the background, representing the paper plane itself, is shaded gray (i.e. paper tone).

It is very important that the layout and size of the elements in this full page example simulate as close as possible the finished watermarked impression so that the customer will be able to take the size and layout into consideration in regard to the watermarked paper's intended use. If the customer's intention is to use the watermarked paper for bank checks, the layout and size of the elements of the design will need to be such that at least one full watermark image appear in each finished bank check. So the design, at this point, must be virtually a 'what you see is what you get' example.

The full page example is then submitted to the customer for approval.
