The men listed below appeared at the Bedford County Court House and signed Oaths of Allegiance to the Province of Pennsylvania. By doing so, they disavowed their allegiance and fidelity to the king of Great Britain.
According to James B. Whisker in his book, Bedford County (Pennsylvania) In The American Revolution, these names were transcribed by Mrs. Winona Garbrick many years ago. They, according to his book, were found in the Prothonotary Office of the court house. No such records exist at the Bedford County Court House at the present time. Mrs. Garbrick died before the source of the names could be verified.
