     The complete title of this work is: THE FIRST PART OF MISCELLANY POEMS. Containing Variety of New Translations Of The Ancients Poets: Together with Several Original Poems. This volume is the first of a set of six volumes, each taking the name of its order in the set: The First Part of..., the Second Part of..., and so forth. The set was first printed at London for J. Tonson in the Strand. It is noted as the Fifth Edition. John Dryden (1631-1700) was noted for his translations of classical philosophers, such as Ovid and Virgil.
