William McLean was born in the year 1777.(3.41) In the year 1800, William married Elizabeth Muirhead at Rerrick Parish, Scotland. Elizabeth was born in the year 1782. The Muirhead Clan Society database provides only the name of “Rerrick Parish”, but not the shire in which that parish is to be found.
