{Research performed by Diane Baptie, Member of ASGRA, 2002} An entry was recorded in the General Register of Sasines, dated 12 September, 1621, by James Muirhead elder of Lachope to James Muirhead elder of Lachope and James Muirhead younger and apparent heir and Maria Dalzell, daughter of Sir Robert Dalzell of Elyok, spouse of James Muirhead younger of the lands of Cryndildyk, Braidsheilburne and Nether Alderstoun in the barony of Cambusnethan.
