St. George's Day is celebrated on the 23rd of April, which is the traditional date of the death of Saint George in 303 AD.
The holiday has been variously known as the Feast of Saint George and Georgemas.
A primary object of St. George's Day was to honor the life of Saint George. That object has been effected by the wearing of a red rose in the lapel, and/or decorating one's house with the St. George's Cross flag.
