The Hanover Associators were a company of militia organized on 04 June 1774 at a meeting of residents of the town of Hanover in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The Regimental Colors of the Hanover Associators was created and agreed upon presumably at the same meeting.
The flag was described as consisting of a crimson field on which was painted a rifleman in green hunting shirt and buckskin leggings, standing on guard, with the motto "Liberty Or Death" on a scroll below.
